Delivery
How quickly is my order despatched?
We endeavour to despatch all orders within two working days of receipt of the order and vat form. The only exception to this is over the Christmas period when the factory is on shut down. If you would like to confirm a delivery date then please phone 0845 095 6477. If there is a delay in supplying the item you have ordered we will phone you and advise of the possible delivery date.
How much is delivery?
Lightboxes: Your lightbox does have to be signed for so someone has to be in to take delivery.
- Delivery is free on all lightboxes to an address on the UK mainland.
- If you require an am or pm delivery add £3.00. An am delivery is 09:00-13:00; pm is 12:00 -18:00
- Saturday delivery is £10.50 and is anytime before 13:30.
- Deliveries to Northern Ireland and Isle of Man £10

How do you deliver?
Delivery of lightboxes and large tubes to the UK mainland is made by next working day courier. Your consignment does have to be signed for so someone has to be in to take delivery.
Delivery of bulbs and small tubes (up to 4 ft, 1,200mm) is by Royal Mail.
No deliveries can be made to P.O. Box numbers.
When will my goods be delivered?
Delivery by courier is next working day after the goods leave us, any time between 08:30 and 18:00. If you want a specific delivery date this can be arranged with the office on 0845 095 6477 or 01494 88 33 28. Goods by Royal Mail are usually 3-5 working days, but can take up to 10 working days.
What happens if I’m not at home?
If you are not at home the courier will leave a card with the consignment number and the local depot number for you to call to arrange a redelivery. They will automatically try to redeliver the next working day. It will then be returned to the depot to be held for up to 5 days for further instructions. After this time it will be returned to us. Royal Mail will normally leave a card and the goods are generally held at the local depot for collection.
What if I want to change the delivery address after the goods have been sent out?
Once the goods have been sent out from the factory by courier the delivery address can be changed but this will incur a charge of £20.00. Goods sent out by Royal Mail cannot have a delivery address changed.
I’m never at home can it be sent to a different address?
We can deliver to another address. This can be work, a neighbour or the consignment can be ‘left safe’ in a greenhouse, shed or garage. This would be at your own risk. These instructions can be added to the consignment before it is sent out to help a speedy delivery. If the delivery has already been sent out it may incur extra costs.
Do you deliver overseas?
Yes that is not a problem. The charges for Europe are on the website but if the country that you wish to have the consignment sent to is not on the website then either email info@sad.uk.com or call on +44 (0) 1494 88 33 28. BFPO numbers go through the normal postal service.
