VAT Exemption Explained
Lightboxes are a medical product and if you are suffering from the symptoms of SAD and buying for domestic or personal use, you are entitled to sign the VAT exemption (or tick the box) and buy the product free of VAT.
Seasonal Affective Disorder is recognised by HM Customs and Excise to be a debilitating condition and as such if you have any of the symptoms, and you are buying the Lightbox for your own personal (or a member of your family's use) you are entitled to sign the VAT Exemption form. This is a self certification and you do not need your doctor to sign the form for you.
Many products are presented with and without VAT throughout the shopping cart; some products do not qualify as treatments and therefore you will see only one price available. Please choose the appropriate item according to whether you are a SAD sufferer or not.
Please note that the DawnLite and lighting for general home use is not VAT free.
